Michael R. Blackburn has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), US. Dr. Blackburn has served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth since 2011. In 2012, Dr. Blackburn was named joint Dean of The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston.
